Eurodies invests in women’s health

Free mammogram and ultrasound with WelfareCare
Eurodies Italia’s commitment to women’s health continues to grow, with the choice to become a partner in WelfareCare’s Free Mammogram and Ultrasound initiative for breast cancer prevention.
In line with Sustainable Development Goal 3 of the UN’s 2030 Agenda – Good Health and Well-being – Eurodies chose to make a concrete contribution by focusing on the territory where its industrial activity is based.
The initiative has made a mobile clinic available to women between the ages of 35 and 45 living in Avigliana who have not yet been included in National Health Service screening and who have not had mammograms in the 12 months preceding the event.
Thanks to the specially equipped vehicle and WelfareCare’s specialized staff, 71 breast exams were performed on November 16th: 25 mammograms and 46 ultrasound scans, with immediate delivery of the results.
The free screening was held in the city of Avigliana, in the area adjacent to Piazza del Popolo, near the entrance to Alveare Verde Park.

Eurodies joined other companies in the area in supporting this project because of its practical nature and invited women who work in the company as well as employees’ family members to take part.
For Eurodies, prevention – in the workplace as well as outside the company – is the best expression of a culture of health and safety and an opportunity to invest in the well-being of the people in their area.
